Taxidermy Jay

£295.00

The Eurasian Jay (Garrulus glandarius), elegantly poised on a gnarly old branch – a unique piece of taxidermy made by a Yorkshire artist. Jays are easily the prettiest members of the crow family, with peachy copper plumage, flashed with black, white and vivid aqua. Surprisingly, however, they’re not as easy to spot as you’d suppose, preferring the broad, shadowy cover of deciduous woodland, amongst their favourite trees – the oak.
